چکیده
Bovine coronavirus (BCoV) infection has found worldwide among cattle of all ages, causing diarrhea in newborn calves, winter dysentery adult and respiratory tract diseases results major economic losses dairy herds. The objective this study was to establish an ELISA kits as patent prepared Lab. with assessment its applicability the field samples. Sixty-five pneumonic calves 2- 4-month-old, used detect BCoV antibodies serum infected where it assayed against by using plates SNT. were positive for antibody 72.3% 53.9% SNT respectively. showed high sensitivity over SNT, sensitivity, specificity correlation 91.4%, 50% respectively, there is a between both tests. test been successfully longitudinal studies on virus dynamics evaluation management routines. In conclusion more sensitive, accurate specific assay than detection antibodies, addition saving time commercial cost.

متن کاملDevelopment of an Indirect ELISA for Serological Diagnosis of Bovine herpesvirus 5.
Bovine herpesviruses 1 and 5 (BoHV-1 and BoHV-5) are economically important pathogens, associated with a variety of clinical syndromes, including respiratory and genital disease, reproductive failure and meningoencephalitis. The standard serological assay to diagnose BoHV-1 and BoHV-5 infections is the virus neutralization test (VNT), a time consuming procedure that requires manipulation of inf...

BACKGROUND BCoV is identified in both healthy and diarrheic calves, complicating its assessment as a primary pathogen. OBJECTIVES To investigate the detection rates of bovine coronavirus (BCoV) in feces of healthy and diarrheic calves and to describe the usefulness of a pancoronavirus reverse transcriptase (RT) PCR (PanCoV-RT-PCR) assay to identify BCoV in samples of diarrheic calves. ANIMA...
متن کاملSerological diagnosis of bovine neosporosis: a comparative study of commercially available ELISA tests.
Bovine neosporosis control programs are currently based on herd management and serodiagnosis because effective treatments and vaccines are unavailable. Although a wide variety of serological tools have been developed, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) are the most commonly commercialized tests. Partial comparative studies have been performed in the past, and the panel of available ELI...

A group 2 human coronavirus designated HECV-4408 was isolated from a child with acute diarrhea and is antigenically and genetically more closely related to bovine coronavirus (BCoV) than to human coronavirus OC43 (X. M. Zhang, W. Herbst, K. G. Kousoulas, and J. Storz, J. Med. Virol. 44:152-161, 1994). To determine whether HECV-4408 infects gnotobiotic calves and induces cross-protective immunit...
